Terms of assembly

Conditions for keeping to the stated installation costs

A bit of rules.

1. Performances to be rendered by the buyer before assembly starts

  1. The access routes to the building must be such that the parts to be assembled can be brought directly to the assembly area by lorry.
  2. The customer must exchange the EURO pallets and mesh boxes upon delivery.
  3. There must be sufficiently large entrances for transporting the components and for bringing in auxiliary equipment (forklift trucks, lifting platforms).
  4. The unloading and transport of the materials to be assembled to the installation site is part of the services provided by the customer.
  5. Sufficient storage space for the delivered material is available at the installation site in a hall that is closed on all sides. We shall not be liable for any damage resulting from improper storage.
  6. The installation room must be prepared by the customer in such a way that our fitters can start and carry out the work immediately upon arrival without any difficulties. The floor slab must be "swept clean" with the required - previously defined - measuring points for heights, longitudinal and transverse axes.
  7. Electrical power and power systems as well as sufficient lighting at the assembly site must be available and provided free of charge. Sanitary facilities are also provided free of charge.
  8. The assembly room must be heated during the cold season - at least +5ºC.
  9. The installation costs do not apply to refrigerated rooms, unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.
  10. A suitable, lockable room must be provided for parking and storing assembly tools etc.
  11. The installation site must be secured for welding work in accordance with the relevant accident prevention regulations.
  12. The load-bearing capacity of the floor must be tested on site. The system must anchored to sufficiently strong concrete - C20/25 in accordance with DIN EN 206-1/DIN 1045-2 - using heavy-duty dowels! The possibility of unobstructed drilling (no reinforcement bar ≥10mm) of the dowel holes must be provided. If this not possible and core holes need to be drilled, this will be charged as additional work. Expenses due to expansion joints in the floor that have not been taken into account will be invoiced as an additional charge. Installation on asphalt and interlocking paving is not possible without appropriately dimensioned strip foundations! When installing on basement and storey ceilings, the load-bearing capacity of the ceiling construction must be checked by the customer's architect! We assume that the floor slabs and ceilings a quasi-rigid substrate in accordance with DIN EN15512:2021. In the case of top coverings containing magnesite - screed - base plate insulation and the use of stainless steel anchors are required! Special anchoring is required for a WHG (Water Resources Act) area. These additional services are not included in the price if not expressly mentioned in the contract!
  13. The evenness of the floor - raw or finished concrete - on which the equipment is installed must be within the following permissible deviations in accordance with DIN18202, Table 3 and RAL-RG 614, Section 3.3.4.2.2:
    up to 1 m distance: 4 mm
    over 1 - 4 m distance: 10 mm
    over 4 - 15 m distance: 12 mm
    over 15 m distance: 15 mm
In relation to a horizontal auxiliary level at the highest point of the floor panel in the shelving area, the vertical tolerance of the floor surface must not be greater than 16 mm. In the case of larger unevenness, further costs may arise, e.g. for statics and floor anchoring.
  14. If the facilities are to be in earthquake-prone areas, it is necessary for the customer to indicate the respective utilisation so that the necessary measures can be determined. Seismic loads are locally induced additional loads that of decisive importance in the calculation and design of components. DIN4149, Part 1 is decisive for this.
  15. After assembly is complete, the hall floor is cleaned by our fitters. cleaned "swept clean". Further cleaning of the floor and cleaning of the shelving system are not included in the scope of services.

2. General terms of assembly

  1. If necessary, the customer shall provide auxiliary personnel, equipment, lifting gear and possibly forklift trucks with a lifting height sufficient for the rack height free of charge.
  2. Bricklaying and chiselling work is always carried out on site. After dismantling, anchor and dowel holes are filled on site.
  3. The installation of the system shall be carried out in accordance with the drawings or installation plans. Changes to the agreements made or the acceptance of work that is not part of the installation part must be discussed with the project manager BITO before the start of work and ordered separately.
  4. The assembly manager must be informed by the customer of existing safety measures and regulations, insofar as these must be observed by our fitters.
  5. The operator of the system must clarify all building regulations with the responsible building authority. The necessary statics can be prepared for a fee.
  6. The installation supervisor must be certified that the installation and acceptance of the system have been properly completed.
  7. Transport packaging and residual materials will only be taken back if returned carriage paid.
  8. When calculating the installation costs, we have assumed that an undisturbed installation process without any construction-related underruns is possible. interruptions are possible. Should such an interruption be necessary, this must be remunerated. For the duration of the interruption, the client assumes liability for all materials stored or installed on the construction site as well as any necessary interim storage costs.
  9. The calculation of installation costs is based on unrestricted working hours between 7.00 and 20.00.
  10. Waiting times and assembly interruptions for we are not responsible, as well as additional services and extensive instructions not announced in advance shall be invoiced on an hourly basis and according to the cost of materials.
  11. If the customer postpones a date within a four-week period before the start of assembly, BITO reserves the right to claim any additional costs incurred.
  12. Impairments to the installation process due to the simultaneous presence of other trades or companies at the installation site must be ruled out.
