More and more drive-in racking systems are serviced with pallet shuttles which move into the lanes instead of a forklift truck and store or retrieve goods. This minimises the travel distances of forklift trucks. The shuttle is battery-operated and controlled by remote control.
Storage is based on the First In - First Out (FIFO) or the Last In - First Out (LIFO) principle without having to modify the racking system. In addition, the lane levels can be loaded independently of each other.
The handling capacity of the system can be increased at any time by adding more pallet shuttles. The storage system can also be easily scaled, provided the necessary storage space is available.
