Since BITO was founded in 1845, both the company headquarters including our R&D department as well as our production facilities have been located in our region.
Company profile
BITO is short for “Bittmann Oberstein”, after the location where our business was founded by the Bittmann family in 1845. Nowadays, we employ over 1,000 members of staff. In 1991, the ever-expanding company moved to neighboring Meisenheim for space reasons and in 2000 founded another production site in nearby Lauterecken.
The production area currently covers over 140,000 square meters. We specialise in warehouse equipment and order picking systems and are renowned for our high quality standards. We focus on the needs of our customers and their industries.
BITO is one of the few single source suppliers of shelving & racking, plastic bins & containers and workshop equipment in the intralogistics sector. We offer the complete range of products in the field of storage technology.
