Our customer

La Provençale in Luxembourg employs 1,100 people and is the largest centre for food wholesale and distribution in their region. More than 140 refrigerated trucks deliver food products to restaurants, bakeries, commercial kitchens and canteens with high-quality gourmet products. Over 35,000 items are delivered both within the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and to the neighbouring regions of Germany, Belgium and France.

Initial situation and customer requirements

  • Storage capacity was to be increased along with improving storage efficiency on the same floor area: Constant growth and with limited storage space were the reasons for investing in a new storage facility.
  • New orders are usually placed at very short notice, so quick order picking is essential.
  • The constantly changing product range requires a flexible storage solution.
  • Up to 2,000 orders must be processed every day.
