Create an intelligent network
with BITO IOB bins and containers

What is IOB and how does it work?
The Internet of Bins is about continuously recording and analysing information generated by so-called smart bins. The bins are equipped with sensors and IoT technology to capture various data such as the filling level, temperature and weight.
Thanks to real-time data monitoring the status of your bins and containers and their contents can be checked with just a few clicks.
- Wireless sensor network
- Fully transparent processes
- IoT technology and bins from a single source
Your benefits in brief
Connecting load carriers to create an intelligent network enables seamless and sustainable resource management along the entire supply chain.
Reduced time and effort spent on stocktaking, no searching and scanning
Fewer containers get lost
Improved asset utilisation without new investments
Features. Think ahead, think smart.
Setting up a bin management system saves time and money.

- Automated data capture
Data is gathered, analysed and monitored automatically, without human intervention. - Automated allocation of storage positions
Apart from automated data recording, booking to accounts and the allocation of stock items to a storage position are also carried out automatically. - Precise localisation
Bins and containers can be located with an accuracy of up to 3 metres indoors and outdoors at your own site and at external locations. - Open system
The system is based on globally standardised technology and can be used independently with little hardware on site.

What do you need for implementing IOB?
Smart real-time systems work with three components

- They register radio waves from nearby devices. Unlimited service life.
- Tracking via barcodes, passive labels or Bluetooth Low Energy beacons.
- Passive tag that only transmits data when it is in proximity to a specific energy source (e.g. RFID tag, RFID gateway).

- Intelligent devices collect and exchange information.
- They receive and send data via RFID, Bluetooth, WPS, GPS and micro geolocation transmitters.
- They send live online notifications based on specific criteria.
- They recognise problems in real time.
- Smart devices have an integrated energy source and transmit data to a gateway.

- A gateway connects two networks with each other and communicates with the Internet.
- It receives the data sent by smart devices.
- A gateway can be a permanently installed device or a mobile device, e.g. a smartphone.

- Enables data retrieval, management and analysis.
- Depending on the application, additional features are included, such as integration into your ERP system, interfaces or alert functions.
- Connected bins provide immediate information on the status, location and condition of a consignment.
