Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery designs and manufactures gas turbines in the 4 to 15 MW range.   • Motorised storage modules provide sufficient storage positions on 3 levels.
  • LEO AGVs ensure fast and safe transfer of items between the goods-in area, the Kardex shuttles and the packing stations.
  • EQ folding bins are used for order picking. They can be folded when empty and stored away in a buffer zone next to the LEO transfer stations.
  • The Kardex vertical lift modules are equipped with XL containers with insertable bins to separate reference lines and provide space for items with different dimensions.

  • Motorised storage modules provide sufficient storage positions on 3 levels.
  • Using LEO vehicles for in-house transport tasks increases safety at work since staff is kept out of areas with busy forklift traffic. Moreover, the AGVs minimise manual handling, achieve an ROI within a year, increase staff productivity and reduce travel times by 30%.
  • The buffer zones with carton live storage racks and EQ folding bins make sure there is always a bin available when components are needed for outbound logistics. This prevents delays.
  • XL containers and Kardex modules speed up picking cycles. Picking is even twice as fast as with the previous system and there is more flexibility for storing parts of different dimensions.
