Customer requirements
- Replace the unhandy mesh box pallets and heavy weight steel containers in use by an alternative load carrier.
- The new load carrier must be easier to handle and allow better use of the content volume than the mesh box pallets used to date.
- It is important that the new load carrier remains suitable for all of the customer's storage and transport requirements
- The new large volume boxes must have a high load carrying capacity and they must be durable to last for a long service life.
On-site application
- Heavy parts can now be stored in a small space.
- Unfinished parts are transported in BITO large volume containers during ongoing production operations.
- Thanks to their smaller dimensions, the easy-to-handle BITO large-capacity plastic boxes are ideal for smaller batches, ensuring a more efficient and economic material flow within the production plant.
Customer benefits
- Substantial gain of space in production and storage areas as the 800x600 mm format allows to fill small spaces.
- The boxes can be stacked on Euro pallets to gain additional space. One European standard pallet can take two SL containers. There is no overhang as with mesh box pallets, which is why SL containers are also suitable for use in high-bay warehouses.
- BITO SL86 large volume containers can carry loads of up to 500 kg. They are made of durable plastic and are not susceptible of repair.
- Best operational performance with easy-to-handle drop-door. Instant product identification and immediate access to all product lines. Empty SL86 containers can be moved without powered service vehicles.
