BITO Racking systems are suitable for all palletised loads with a huge turnover and provide direct access to all pallets. Pallet live storage racking only needs two service aisles, thereby saving 60% of the storage space required for conventional static pallet racking. By separating storage from retrieval, forklift drivers do not get in each other's way, which increases safety and speeds up processes. Pallet live storage can be designed with a buffer stock on top. Whereas the lower levels are used for order picking, the levels on top are used to store replenishment stock. Goods can be stored in FIFO and in LIFO order
There are only a few non-automated racking systems that allow you to choose between First In - First Out (FIFO) or Last In - First Out (LIFO) storage. The FIFO principle allows you to monitor expiration dates, batches or production series and is therefore particularly interesting for the food and beverage sector and the pharmaceutical industry. LIFO storage is often used by companies with non-perishable or slow-moving inventory. Pallets are loaded at the racking front by pushing them up against the incline of the roller lane. This means that pallets are loaded on the same side on which they are retrieved.
